Beautiful places Turkey. Starting April the temperatures on the south coast of Turkey regularly rise above 20 ° C. The holiday season in the Mediterranean has begun! What makes the Turkish Riviera, which mainly comprises the provinces of Antalya and Muğla, so attractive?
Not only can you lie on dream beaches here from early in the morning until the late evening and go swimming. The inland is also full of cultural attractions. Here are six beach and cultural tips:
This is one of the most beautiful places and beaches in Turkey, about 14 kilometers from Fethiye. In Oludeniz there is a Blue Lagoon – the water of the Bay shimmers in many shades of blue, from aquamarine to turquoise. All around are vast pine forests and mountains. The beach has been a protected natural area since the end of the 1980’s.
You must pay”for access when you are not staying in one of the hotels close to the beach. Despite that, the beach of Oludeniz is very busy in high season. The water is crystal clear, the quality is very good: the blue flag is blowing in the wind here. Snacks are available, there are also dressing rooms and toilets.
How to get there
A minibus runs to the beach every few minutes from the central Dolmus station in Fethiye. From there it is only a short distance to the lagoon. For a fee you can also park your (rental) car behind the beach.

The gorge with the same name starts at Kaputaş Beach. When no water flows, you walk a little way from the beach into the gorge. For thousands of years, the water of the river has created beautiful cream-colored rock formations. You will also see rock climbers there.
The ancient ruins of Termessos
For those who are already familiar with the ancient ruins of Side, we recommend a visit to Termessos. This fortified city was invincible.
